The winner of Grand Prix Series will be awarded with precious trophy |
 At the 84th Congress of the International Chess Federation FIDE, which took place in Tallinn, Estonia October 1st through 10th, 2013, a decision was made to create two cups for the Men’s and Women’s Grand Prix. FIDE’s President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov lent wholehearted support to this initiative.
The women’s championship award is made up of two precious trophies - large and small - which are crafted in silver and gold, encrusted with diamonds. The original design is developed by Lobortas Classic Jewelry House, the creator of the Large and Small “Caissa” trophies for FIDE.
The big and small cups will be presented during the opening ceremony of the sixth stage of FIDE Women’s Grand Prix in Sharjah.
The Large trophy, presented to the winner at an annual ceremony, will have the winner’s name engraved on it and is to be stored at the FIDE headquarters. The Small trophy, a reduced copy, will be handed over to the winner for permanent possession. For all subsequent victories, the years of winning seasons may be additionally engraved on the Small trophy.
The base of Grand Prix series Small trophy features an innovative seal that indicates the year of the victory and contains a FIDE bookplate. The winner has  an option of substituting the seal with her personal alternative. She can also update the seal in case of subsequent victories. This innovation is the first of its kind used in international awards. It may receive further recognition and be put into practice by the makers of other significant awards.
The precious trophy, therefore, is both a work of XXI century jewelry art and an item of historical value, representing the owner’s wins in the FIDE championships.
The trophy has a shape of the Queen chess piece. The design represents the ascent from an ordinary pawn to the Queen’s crown. The pawn’s reflections in the mirrors of the trophy’s upper detail represent the multitude of contenders, of which only one shall rise to become the Queen and the winner of the Grand Prix series.
Lobortas Classic Jewelry House, the designer of the trophy, specializes in creating jewelry art works of historic significance. The House’s works include outstanding examples of XXI century craftsmanship, including a ring listed in the Guinness World Book of Records. The works of the House are exhibited at the world’s leading museums and owned by heads of states, religious leaders, international sports organizations and the world's elites.
 The Classic Jewelry House Lobortas had previously created for FIDE the Large and Small Chess Cups "Caissa". World Champion Hou Yifan was the one who got the award “Caissa” during Istanbul Chess Olympiad in 2012.
